The University of New Hampshire seeks a contractor to upgrade the fire alarm system in Kingsbury Hall to address network communication failures and obsolete equipment while maintaining existing fire alarm coverage. The base scope includes replacing three fire alarm control panels, replacing the existing copper network between system nodes with fiber-optic cabling, installing compatible network modules, reprogramming and coordinating the system, and performing full acceptance testing. Existing initiating devices, notification appliances, remote power supplies, and amplifiers are to be reused where practicable, with additional equipment provided as needed to meet system requirements. Bidders must price the listed alternates, including replacement of addressable smoke and heat detectors and replacement of the existing dialer with a Keltron LS NET9000 transceiver. The bid also requires unit prices for devices that fail testing and related equipment. The contractor must provide the required project qualifications and similar-project information with the bid. The project schedule states construction is to begin March 1, 2027, and be complete by May 31, 2027.
