Description
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is collecting applications from medical industry companies interested in receiving a donated mid-energy electron-beam irradiator for medical-device sterilization. Applicants must explain their organization and medical need, current products and sterilization processes, proposed use and location of the irradiator, product and packaging characteristics, technical readiness, validation approach, facility and infrastructure readiness, implementation plans, anticipated throughput, organizational commitment, risks, budgetary gaps, and expected impact. Applicants must complete the three-page Attachment A application template and may provide supporting information as appropriate. The selected recipient would assume responsibility for regulatory, operational, transportation, installation, and maintenance matters associated with the equipment; participation does not guarantee a donation.
