Description
The U.S. Air Force is seeking information on potential sources for the modernization and sustainment of the T-7 Family of Systems (FoS), which includes the T-7 Air Vehicle, Ground Based Training System (GBTS), Maintenance Training System (MTS), and associated systems. This effort is anticipated to begin as early as Fiscal Year 2029 and will involve military certification requirements. The scope includes sustainment of the existing aircraft configuration, as well as planning, development, test, qualifications, integration, production, installation, fielding, and sustainment of current, new, or upgraded T-7 capabilities. Modernization capabilities may include enhancements such as Terrain and Air Collision Avoidance, Barrier Capability analysis, Selectable G-limits, Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) improvements, and an upgrade to the Embedded GPS/INS (EGI) navigation system. Sustainment activities will encompass depot maintenance, product support, software maintenance, technical order development, configuration management, and spares procurement. The Air Force is assessing market capabilities for these complex aircraft and training system requirements.
