Description
The Kenton County Airport Board is soliciting bids for granular, five-way ice melt containing sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, calcium magnesium, and a water-soluble indicator dye. The product must melt snow and ice down to -20 degrees Fahrenheit, work on concrete, asphalt, brick, and wood surfaces, provide uniform particle sizing, and be suitable for hand-held and truck-mounted spreaders. The estimated annual usage is approximately 66,000 pounds, with pricing requested for 1,400 50-pound bags and 10 2,000-pound supersacks. Deliveries must be made within 10 days of order to the airport's Central Warehouse. The agreement has a two-year initial term with three one-year renewal options. Bids must include product specifications when proposing an alternative product, a certificate of insurance, exceptions or a statement of no exceptions, resident and non-resident status forms, and required vendor information.
