The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Region 5 Laboratory Services and Applied Sciences Division is seeking information and quotes for a benchtop analytical balance used to prepare analytical standards, reagents, and samples for low-level pesticides, alkylphenols, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances analysis. The balance must have an enclosed, automated weighing chamber with an approximately 80 mm by 80 mm weighing area, readability of at least 0.01 milligrams, repeatability below 0.02 milligrams at a 5% load, linearity deviation of 0.1 milligrams or less, and capacity of at least 120 grams. The balance must include built-in anti-electrostatic capability, connect to a computer running Microsoft Windows 11 Enterprise through USB, USB-C, or equivalent, and provide a print function for transmitting mass readings. It must meet the laboratory's ISO 17025 certification standard and include certification during installation. Any required connection cable not included with the balance must be included in the quote. This is a request for information rather than a stated purchase award solicitation.
