Description
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is requesting a quote for one-time work in the Saratoga Spa State Park Administration Building. The scope includes removing two ceiling fans and four eight-foot surface-mounted fluorescent fixtures; terminating and covering the associated electrical boxes; abating approximately 441 square feet of acoustic ceiling tile and trace-asbestos-containing adhesive; and repairing, patching, and skim-coating approximately 441 square feet of plaster ceiling coated with lead-based paint. The repaired ceiling must match the adjacent texture and finish, and the work area must be protected, contained, cleaned, and restored. The contractor must comply with applicable asbestos, lead, OSHA, environmental, building, and local requirements. Required qualifications include EPA Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting certification for the prime contractor or applicable subcontractor and New York State licensed asbestos-abatement contractor certification for the prime contractor or applicable subcontractor. The work is subject to New York prevailing-wage requirements, contractor-registration requirements, and detailed hazardous-material controls, including notifications, containment, respiratory-protection measures where applicable, lead air monitoring or objective data, and coordination with air monitoring provided by others. Quotes must be itemized on the provided RFQ form; work must be completed within 30 days after purchase-order approval.
