Description
The New York State Thruway Authority is seeking a qualified engineering firm to provide as-needed bridge design services in its Albany and Syracuse Divisions. Work will support the Authority’s Contracts Program and primarily involve rehabilitation, preservation, repair, retrofit, replacement, inspection, structural evaluation, load rating, seismic improvements, hydraulic and scour countermeasures, retaining walls, temporary works, emergency repairs, sign structures, traffic control, and construction staging for existing bridges and related transportation structures. Services include preliminary engineering, final design, plans, specifications and estimates, structural analysis, surveying and right-of-way mapping, utility and railroad coordination, environmental and permitting support, constructability and value engineering, and construction-phase support such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, design revisions, field investigations, meetings, and technical assistance. The agreement may be valued up to $3 million for an initial three-year term, with two additional one-year extension options. The Letter of Interest is limited to three pages and must be accompanied by a one-page organizational chart and specified procurement, gender-based violence, lobbying-compliance, and SF 330 materials as applicable.
