The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services is seeking applications from qualified nursing facilities that choose to provide services to MassHealth Members requiring specialized ventilator-dependent services. MassHealth seeks to broaden the availability of nursing facility providers of specialized ventilator-dependent services. Each SVD Services Provider selected and approved to participate in this program will be assigned a new Provider number for providing specialized ventilator-dependent services to eligible MassHealth Members with specialized ventilator-dependent needs approved for this program. LPNs with appropriate training and experience may provide respiratory care and treatment to ventilator-dependent MassHealth members. Amendment 3 removes the accreditation requirement for applicants.
