Description
Volusia County is soliciting fixed-wing aerial adulticide application services for mosquito control. The contractor must provide FAA-approved aircraft equipped for pesticide application, certified pilots and ground personnel, fuel, equipment, maintenance, loading and application support, and related operational requirements. Applications will be performed on an as-needed basis, generally at dusk and during nighttime hours, using approved adulticide formulations and ultra-low-volume equipment. The contractor must maintain required aviation, pesticide-control, aircraft, pilot, equipment, safety, and regulatory certifications, including night-vision capability, differential GPS, and sufficient capacity to treat up to 16,000 or more acres in one evening within 72 hours of notification, weather permitting. The County estimates approximately 100,000 acres of annual adult mosquito control, but does not guarantee a minimum or maximum quantity. The contractor must provide post-application mission summaries within 48 hours, including treatment maps, acreage, product and application rate, sprayed volume, and meteorological conditions. The initial agreement term is three years, with two optional one-year renewals. Required response materials include the pricing proposal, vendor questionnaire responses, references, proof of insurance, applicable licenses, a W-9, the completed Submittal Form, and specified certifications and affidavits.
