Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Missouri Basin Region, is seeking suppliers for three enclosed cargo trailers. These trailers should be tandem axle, suitable for general cargo hauling, equipment transport, and protected storage. Key specifications include a minimum 16 ft box length with a V-nose, a minimum interior width of 83 inches between wheel wells, a minimum interior height of 6 ft 6 inches, and a rear ramp door with a minimum 4,500 lb capacity. The trailers must have a 6-inch tube frame, 16-inch on-center framing, 3/4-inch plywood floor, 3/8-inch plywood interior walls, and a Galvalume roof. A minimum 24-inch stone guard, fenders, and a 2,000 lb capacity tongue jack are also required. The trailers will be equipped with two 3,500 lb spring axles with electric brakes and a breakaway switch, 15-inch tires, and an approximate 7,000 lb GVWR. A 36-inch side entry door and at least four D-ring tie-downs are necessary. Electrical requirements include a full DOT-compliant LED exterior light package and at least one 12V LED dome light, with a 7-way round plug and safety chains. Additional features include a 2-5/16" hitch coupler and Thermocool insulated ceiling. The trailers must be weather-resistant, secure, and meet all applicable federal and state DOT trailer standards. Delivery is required by October 1, 2026, to 205 Chamberlain Rd., Mills, WY 82644, during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), with at least three days' advance notice to the point of contact. The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business set-aside with Lowest Price Technically Acceptable evaluation criteria, posted on SAM.gov around June 23, 2026.
