Description
The 846th Test Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base requires a 20-ton fixed-neck step-deck/lowboy trailer. The trailer must have a square back, a full-width gooseneck deck, and a minimum capacity of 20 tons (40,000 lbs). Key specifications include a minimum width of 96 inches (not exceeding 102 inches), a minimum flat deck length of 38 feet, and standard commercial black paint. The decking should be Apitong or equivalent heavy-duty hardwood with center decking. It requires a 2-axle heavy-duty spring ride suspension and air brakes with ABS compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Standards. The trailer must also include a spare tire and rim, a minimum of five sets of heavy-duty D-rings on the lower deck, one set on the gooseneck side rail, and two on the tail skirt for tie-downs. Additionally, it needs eight stake pockets, three integrated toolboxes on the gooseneck, four lifting shackles, and eight commercial cargo straps. The trailer must also be equipped with a transportation data plate and a standard manufacturer identification and lubrication plate. Delivery is required no later than 120 days after receipt of order to Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico.
