Description
The Town of Wallingford is soliciting bids for paving work at its Sewer Administration Building and visitor parking lot. The selected contractor must remove deteriorated asphalt and subbase, prepare and compact the existing subbase, install bituminous concrete pavement and curbing, apply tack coat and joint sealant, establish proper drainage, and properly dispose of excavated materials and millings. The work also includes layout and striping for 18 standard parking spaces and two handicap stalls, traffic control, protection of completed work, and restoration of disturbed areas not immediately adjacent to the driveways. Bidders must be licensed contractors in Connecticut, have at least five years of relevant experience, and submit at least three references for similar projects. Award is based on the lowest total lump-sum cost from a responsive and responsible bidder.
