Description
The City of Lakeland is soliciting proposals for the design, fabrication, and construction of covered parking structures at the C.D. McIntosh Power Plant. This project encompasses eight distinct parking areas across the plant. The selected contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the project, from initial design and shop drawings to final installation. The City reserves the right to award all or part of the project to a single contractor based on pricing and other selection criteria. The scope of work includes verifying field conditions, addressing any constructability concerns prior to fabrication, and ensuring compliance with the Florida Building Code. The project aims to provide safe and protected parking for employees and visitors following the decommissioning of older facilities at the power plant. Site walkdowns are available for prospective bidders to review conditions and understand the project scope.
