Description
The U.S. Air Force intends to award a sole-source contract for a test antenna system and associated components compatible with existing infrastructure. The requirement includes a 5-meter antenna with dual-powered mount, feed struts, rack-mount and anchor kits, LNBs, microwave filtering, tracking and control equipment, compass and resolver components, cabling, tools, spare parts, and related hardware. The bill of materials identifies brand-name DH Satellite and associated equipment, including RC4000/RCI systems, an Avcom spectrum analyzer and beacon receiver, and enhanced tracking functionality. The scope also includes factory setup and hands-on training, system decommissioning, on-site integration by two personnel for up to three days, feed-design engineering, installation-related cable management and connections, and other technical support. The Government states that the required proprietary technical data, software, and tooling are not available for competition. Respondents may submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to satisfy the specifications; responses will be used to determine whether a competitive procurement can be conducted. The bill of materials requires compliance with the Trade Agreements Act and FAR 889(a)(1)(B).
