Description
The City of Torrance Transit Department is seeking vendors to furnish and deliver lubricants and fluids on an as-needed basis. The listed requirements include high-temperature lubrication grease, Valvoline Premium Blue One Solution Gen 2 SAE 15W-40 engine oil, Dexron VI/Mercon VI automatic transmission fluid, transmission fluid for transit vehicles, FleetCharge coolant with Bitrex, and SAE 80W-90 gear oil meeting the specified MAN 342 requirements. Certain products must meet stated manufacturer or industry specifications, and substitution is restricted for some items. Bidders may submit pricing for all or any portion of the requirements, and the City may issue one or more purchase orders by item or group of like items. The vendor must provide the equipment and labor needed to unload deliveries as directed. Responses must use the City's provided RFQ form, include pricing and applicable fees, and provide a company background and recent experience narrative plus at least three references for comparable goods or services. Required insurance documentation is due before purchase order award, rather than with the bid.
