Description
The City of Cambridge is soliciting proposals from qualified engineering firms for design services to rehabilitate approximately 6,200 linear feet of the Cambridge Creek Interceptor Sewer, consisting of 21-, 24-, 27-, and 30-inch gravity sewer mains and approximately 35 manholes. The work includes sewer system investigation using CCTV, sonar, and laser profiling; survey and utility information; a Preliminary Engineering Report; permitting; detailed construction plans and specifications; final cost estimating; and evaluation of rehabilitation methods such as slip lining or pipe bursting. The selected consultant will also provide bid-phase services, including soliciting contractor bids, attending a pre-bid conference, responding to contractor questions, issuing addenda, and reviewing bids. Proposals must describe similar work completed during the past five years, provide key personnel resumes, explain the project approach, submit a task-based lump-sum not-to-exceed fee, and provide an anticipated schedule based on a December 17, 2026 notice to proceed. The solicitation requires a minimum of ten years of water and sewer design experience and completion of at least ten similar projects.
