Description
The contractor will provide engineering services for the Airborne Systems Training and Research Support (ASTARS) system in the ASTARS III aircraft and its simulation lab. Work includes hardware design and installation, software design and development, installation and testing, and integration and testing of aircraft systems such as radar, navigation, imaging, video recording, displays, and operator controls. The contractor must also support remote operators, telemetry and sensor-video downlink, and integration with the simulation lab. The work includes two student software exercises, covering software trouble reports and change requests, software updates, installation, and debriefing of student test-flight results. The contractor must maintain flight-crew and water-survival currency. The notice identifies Severn Test Services as the intended sole-source recipient, while also stating that the Government will consider other bids. Quotes must include the specified telecommunications representations, price support, and requested vendor and payment information.
