Description
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee seeks contractors to pick up and process campus scrap metals, including aluminum, copper, brass, steel, stainless steel, insulated wire, lead, lead-acid batteries, transformers, motors, and light ballasts. Pickup is requested within 72 hours of a request and is generally to occur Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., unless otherwise approved. Bidders must have at least five years of experience providing the requested services and hold applicable licenses and credentials. The university intends to award to the top three bidders based on the highest total revenue offered for the listed scrap categories. The contract term is five years from execution. The bid requires the completed Cost Sheet and a signed response; electronic signatures are accepted. The solicitation also requests a three-client reference list and bidder responses to the sourcing module's required questions and certifications.
