Description
The California Department of Water Resources, San Luis Field Division, is soliciting bacteriological water testing and analysis services for raw and treated water. Required work includes total and fecal coliform testing, E. coli testing and typing, heterotrophic plate counts when needed, retesting of positive results, raw-water enumeration, additional sampling, and emergency analysis with results available within 48 hours. Testing must follow specified Standard Methods and applicable California drinking-water regulations. The contractor must be certified by the State Water Resources Control Board Division of Drinking Water Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP), or hold acceptable National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program certification, and maintain a valid California business license. Services must be performed at the contractor's laboratory, which must be within 65 miles of the San Luis Field Division. The contractor must provide sampling supplies, chain-of-custody documentation, sample storage and disposal, electronic reporting, and prompt notification of failed samples. The anticipated agreement term is three years, with no guaranteed minimum quantity of work.
