The U.S. Navy's Norfolk Naval Shipyard is procuring 5,264 feet of Chromalox SRL 5-1CR heat tracing strip tape, Chromalox part number 382758, under a firm-fixed-price contract. The tape must be a one-for-one replacement, with no substitutes permitted, and must be supplied by Chromalox or an authorized distributor. Required characteristics include self-regulating 5-watt-per-foot output, operation at 115/120 volts AC and 60 cycles, flat ribbon construction no wider than one-half inch, and suitability for heavy industrial outdoor marine applications. Additional requirements include mercury-free materials and a certificate of compliance. Respondents must submit the completed SF 1449 solicitation, Attachment B Continuation Sheet, Attachment C Technical Capability Statement, and an all-inclusive vendor quote covering shipping and associated costs. Delivery of the specified quantity is required by December 4, 2026.
