Description
The City of West Hollywood is seeking qualified arts organizations to present at least six free outdoor theatre performances at Kings Road Park in September 2027. Applicants must have at least three years of professional theatre-production experience. Productions may be new or remounted, must be suitable for all audiences, and must use original material or have the necessary performance licenses. Presenters are responsible for marketing and publicity, and must provide any required lighting, sound, or stage equipment. The City will provide a green room, up to 10 hours of rehearsal space over two days, and one on-site technical rehearsal of up to five hours. If outdoor performances are not possible, performances will move to an indoor City facility. Proposals must include applicant information; proposed performance details and promotional description; at least three publicly accessible performance samples from the past five years, with project details and client contact information; an audience outreach and marketing plan; and a detailed project-cost outline. Submit the proposal as a single PDF through the online application. The total project budget must not exceed $18,000 and must include production and artist fees, marketing, materials, and insurance. The selected producer must submit a final report within two weeks after the last performance.
