Description
New Mexico State University is soliciting bids for construction of a western access connection to the Dona Ana Community College Gadsden Campus from the Interstate 10 frontage road. The project includes approximately 1,250 linear feet of new two-lane hot-mix asphalt roadway, clearing and excavation, subgrade preparation, aggregate base, curb and gutter, ADA curb ramps, sidewalks, drainage structures, a stormwater ponding facility, erosion control, sanitary sewer work, traffic control, pavement markings, and construction staking. Additional work includes roadway lighting with electrical conduit, conductors, light fixtures, and foundations; chain-link fencing and multiple gates; two electric gate operators with safety devices and controls; utility trenching and coordination for fiber-optic relocation; material testing and quality control; and post-construction plans. Bidders must submit a signed bid form, a 5% bid bond, subcontractor information, insurance documentation, and required online prerequisites. The awarded contractor must complete the work within 180 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
