Section 00 11 13 ADVERTISEMENT TO BID MGL c.149 Over $150K The AMHERST HOUSING AUTHORITY, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Fire Alarm System Upgrade at State Aided Development: Chestnut Court (667-1) Chestnut Court, Amherst, MA 01002 Jean Elder (Congregate) (667-3) 9 Chestnut Street, Amherst, MA 01002 Sunrise Avenue (689-2) 34 & 36 Sunrise Avenue, Amherst, MA 01002 Ann Whalen Apartments (667-02) 33 Kellogg Ave. Amherst, MA in accordance with the documents prepared by TIGHE & BOND DESIGNER SERVICES INC. . The Project consists of but not limited to: Project Scope consists of the replacement and modification of existing Fire Alarm systems located at multiple sites owned by the Amherst Housing Authority. To ensure accurate accounting and documentation, the Awarding Authority will administer the construction using BidDocs' construction software. This is a contractual requirement; no alternative software will be accepted. The Awarding Authority will pay for the associated software costs, not the Contractor. The work is estimated to cost $1,350,000.00. There will be an Optional Bidders Conference held on 10/07/2026 @ 10:00am at 33 Kellogg Ave Amherst, MA. All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online by 10/09/2026 at 3:00PM EDT for general bids. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 @44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 @@26 to 27H inclusive. THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Please review the instructions in the bid documents on how to register as an electronic bidder. All Bids shall be submitted online at biddocs.com and received no later than the date and time specified. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, Electrical, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement.
