Description
Montana State University is soliciting a general contractor to remove existing roof assemblies and install approximately 42,000 square feet of new single-ply roofing, insulation, and related roof components across multiple buildings in the Johnstone Complex. The specified system includes fully adhered 60-mil TPO membrane, insulation designed to provide an average R-30 assembly, cover board, flashing, gutters and downspouts, roof drains, walkway pads, and fall-protection anchors. Work also includes demolition, substrate preparation, disposal, and reinstallation of salvaged rooftop guardrails and ladders. The project documents identify asbestos-containing materials in some roof parapet and penetration components; affected materials must be removed by a licensed asbestos-abatement contractor before disturbance. Bids must use the provided Bid Proposal form and include the required subcontractor list. A bid security of 10% is required for bids of $150,000 or more. Performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract price, are required for contracts of $150,000 or more. The stated work commencement date is May 10, 2027, with substantial completion due by August 16, 2027.
