Description
Nassau Health Care Corporation (NHCC) is seeking proposals from qualified, licensed insurance providers to offer optional Long-Term Disability (LTD) and optional Short-Term Disability (STD) insurance coverages. These coverages are intended to support approximately 350 residents and fellows participating in graduate medical education programs at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC). The selected vendor will be responsible for providing comprehensive disability insurance coverage and administration, including efficient claims adjudication, customer service, and ensuring compliance with all applicable New York State disability laws, ERISA, HIPAA, and other federal and state regulations. The vendor must also assign an Account Manager as the primary point of contact. Proposals will be evaluated based on cost-effectiveness and financial value (50%) and vendor expertise and the quality of the proposed solution (50%). NHCC encourages Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) to participate, with a goal of 30% MWBE utilization.
