Description
The New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency will sell up to $500,000,000 in tax credits through competitive auctions over no more than six years. Annual sales are capped at $100,000,000, tax credits must be sold for at least 80 percent of face value, and each bid must request at least $250,000 in tax credit face value. Eligible bidders must be New Jersey Corporate Business Tax or Insurance Premiums Tax filers, submit valid tax clearance certificates for themselves and qualifying related entities, certify compliance with restrictions concerning Iran, Russia, and Belarus, and wire a refundable deposit equal to 10 percent of the total bid plus a nonrefundable $500 bid fee. The submission package must include the completed State Tax Credit Auction Bid Form, required wire-transfer confirmations or attestations, a valid Tax Clearance Certificate, and the Iran, Russia, and Belarus Disclosure. The Additional Related Entities spreadsheet is optional and is used when the bid form does not provide enough space. Bids must be submitted through the secure online portal; mail and email submissions are not accepted.
