Description
The Washington State Investment Board is conducting a rolling open procurement to identify firms capable of actively managing broad-universe emerging markets equity strategies for its Commingled Trust Fund. Strategies must be long-only, provide daily liquidity without lock-ups or gates, and be benchmarked against a broad emerging markets index such as the MSCI Emerging Markets IMI Index. Minimum qualifications include current management of an active emerging markets equity strategy; SEC registration or an applicable exemption; GIPS compliance or a commitment to achieve it within twelve months of contract signature; fiduciary insurance including Errors and Omissions/Professional Liability Insurance; appropriate independent controls examinations or an acceptable alternative; and willingness to accept the stated fiduciary, contractual, data-security, reporting, and indemnification requirements. Candidates must maintain their strategy in the eVestment database. The WSIB will continuously screen and evaluate potential managers, conduct due diligence as appropriate, and may request meetings, presentations, references, and additional materials. Fees will be negotiated based on the selected firm's fee proposal.
