Nassau Health Care Corporation a/k/a NuHealth ("NuHealth"), a public benefit corporation created under the laws of the State of New York, seeks from qualified firms to provide Armed and Unarmed Security Services. Proposals will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on October 22, 2026. Description
Nassau Health Care Corporation is soliciting proposals for comprehensive armed and unarmed security services across its designated healthcare facilities, including a tertiary-care hospital, skilled nursing facility, and community health practices. The contractor will augment NHCC’s proprietary security force through high-visibility deterrence, emergency response, high-risk-area monitoring, access control, visitor management, desk duties, routine patrols, supervisory coverage, and scalable staffing for emergencies and special needs. The contractor must provide licensed and insured personnel, required duty equipment and uniforms, firearms and use-of-force coverage, ongoing firearms and healthcare-specific training, background checks and screening, a dedicated 24/7 account manager, business-continuity and emergency-staffing plans, written operational policies, and quarterly business reviews. Proposals must include organizational and operational information, at least three professional references, regulatory and legal disclosures, a work plan, pricing using the required grid, conflict-of-interest disclosures, required compliance forms, an MWBE Utilization Plan or waiver materials, and a signed cover letter. The initial contract term is two years, with up to three additional one-year extensions.
