Description
Clay County is soliciting bids from licensed and qualified contractors to address water intrusion and deteriorated conditions at the jail. The work includes waterproofing two existing exterior recreation yards; removing deteriorated waterproofing materials, coatings, sealants, and damaged concrete; repairing the sally port; and repairing concrete, cracks, spalls, joints, penetrations, and sealants in existing confinement cells while maintaining facility security requirements. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, permits, demolition and debris disposal, testing, and site restoration. The solicitation requires a five percent bid bond, proof of applicable licensing and insurance, proposed subcontractor and major material supplier information, references for at least three similar projects, and numerous supplier questionnaire certifications and forms. The awarded contractor must self-perform at least 40% of the overall contract and complete substantial completion within 120 days of the notice to proceed, with final completion within 60 calendar days after delivery of the punch list.
