Description
The Forest Service seeks a contractor to renovate the Niwot Picnic Trailhead. Work includes removing existing timber parking barriers and retaining walls; constructing timber steps, rock retaining walls, and accessible compacted-aggregate trails; renovating existing picnic sites and building new ones; installing picnic tables, a kiosk, signs, and a bear-proof trash receptacle; and revegetating disturbed areas. The contractor must provide the labor, equipment, materials, and supervision needed to complete the work, protect the public and existing historic features, and keep the recreation area open during construction. Work is restricted to daylight hours and may not take place on weekends or federal holidays.
