The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) at Patuxent River, Maryland, has released its Fiscal Year 2026 Long Range Acquisition Forecast (LRAF). This forecast provides advance notice of potential future procurement requirements across a wide range of areas, including: * **Aircraft Systems and Support:** This encompasses program management contractor support for various aircraft programs such as PMA-251 (Aircraft Launch & Recovery Equipment), PMA-242 (Direct and Time Sensitive Strike), PMA-234 (Airborne Electronic Attack), PMA-209 (Air Combat Electronics), PMA-275 (V-22 Osprey), PMA-276 (H-1 Light/Attack Helicopters), PMA-273 (Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems), PMA-261 (H-53 Heavy Lift Helicopters), PMA-274 (Presidential Helicopters), and PMA-272 (Advanced Tactical Aircraft Protection Systems). * **Specialized Services:** Requirements include technical and engineering support, software engineering, cybersecurity services, intelligence communications support, mission systems integration, and rapid capability solutions for C5ISR platforms and tactical communications systems. * **Technology and Infrastructure:** The forecast also indicates needs for digital analytics infrastructure, technology advancement, prototyping, instrumentation, experimentation, and air traffic control and landing systems support.
