Description
The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders intends to award a sole-source contract to Nikon Instruments under FAR 6.302-1 for service and maintenance of a Nikon AXR-NSPARC confocal system. The requirement includes one preventive-maintenance visit, NIS Elements software updates, repair parts, labor and travel, consultation with Nikon technical experts, and technical support to ensure proper operation and user support throughout the service-agreement period. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations or proposals. Interested businesses may submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet the stated requirement; the notice indicates that Nikon Instruments is the only known responsible source because of compatibility, continuity, manufacturer-specific service, and proprietary data requirements.
