Description
This Request for Information seeks information on existing and emerging standards, criteria, thresholds, models, simulations, testing methods, dose-response curves, computational tools, and related technologies for preventing mild traumatic brain injury caused by blast pressure and blunt impacts. The information will support evaluation of military-relevant injury-prevention standards and identify knowledge gaps requiring further research. The response may also describe relevant protection systems, scientific expertise, research capabilities, methodologies, and resources that could support standards identification, development, validation, or integration into an upgradable platform. This is an information-gathering and planning notice only, not a solicitation or offer for a binding contract; participation is voluntary and costs will not be reimbursed. Respondents must submit relevant publications, articles, reports, images, or other materials through the Blast Injury Research Coordinating Office's contact form and subsequent RFI submission site.
