Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Neutron Technologies Division, managed and operated by UT-Battelle, LLC, is soliciting a firm-fixed-price proposal for fabrication of a custom vacuum chamber in accordance with the attached drawing package. The chamber consists of welded stainless-steel 304 frames, panels, plates, adapters, and a base, with specified machining, threading, chamfering, laser engraving, and electropolishing requirements. The drawing package also specifies fabrication using good vacuum practices, protection of sealing surfaces, and assembly of the chamber. The completed chamber must support high-vacuum application from 1.0×10^-7 to 1.0×10^-8 Torr and undergo helium leak testing with a total leak rate below 2.0×10^-9 Torr-L/second using a mass spectrometer leak detector. Proposals must include pricing and cost breakdowns, delivery or performance timing, any exceptions or assumptions, and applicable representations and certifications. The anticipated period of performance is September 25, 2026, through October 31, 2026, and award will be based on lowest price technically acceptable.
