Description
The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is soliciting proposals for an ADA Mobility Assessment Contractor (AMAC) to provide comprehensive services related to paratransit eligibility determinations and travel training. The AMAC will be responsible for conducting eligibility assessments, which include written applications, face-to-face interviews, and functional mobility assessments, all in compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations. In addition to eligibility determinations, the AMAC will also coordinate and deliver travel training programs to individuals with disabilities. This training aims to enhance their confidence and skills in using RTD's fixed-route bus and light rail services, thereby expanding their mobility options. The program will cover various aspects of public transit use, from planning trips to navigating the system safely. The contract is for a period of five years, with services to commence on August 7, 2026. RTD is seeking a contractor with a robust process that ensures accurate, consistent, and compliant assessments, while treating applicants with dignity and respect.
