Description
Chicago Public Schools is soliciting bids from its pre-qualified trade contractor pool for the furnishing and installation of a wall-mounted, 8-by-5-foot multisport scoreboard in the Darwin Elementary School gymnasium. The base scope includes scoreboard equipment, console and controls, electrical infrastructure and power, conduit, raceways, outlets, mounting, testing, startup, operator training, wall patching and painting, environmental work including lead mitigation and RRP requirements, permits, cleanup, and related repairs. The scoreboard must support basketball and volleyball at minimum and comply with the provided CPS specifications. Alternates include an 8-by-3-foot visual assistance message center, a new three-tier standalone bleacher section up to 12 feet long matching the existing NRS bleachers, and relocation of the scoreboard and message center to the opposite gym wall with associated electrical rerouting. Bidders must submit the signed and dated bid cover sheet, provide required MBE/WBE compliance documentation for bids of $75,000 or more, and include applicable bid-bond and payment/performance-bond costs based on bid value. Work is scheduled for late fall 2026 through early winter 2026–27 and must be completed by February 28, 2027.
