Description
The Town of Middleborough is conducting the first phase of a two-phase procurement to prequalify general contractors and subcontractors for construction of the approximately 13,500-square-foot South Wells Water Treatment Facility. The new drinking-water plant will treat iron, manganese, and PFAS and will include plumbing, HVAC, electrical, instrumentation, solar, fire-protection systems, and administrative spaces. The project also includes upgrades to existing groundwater well pump stations, including new pumps, piping, valves, and instrumentation. The estimated construction cost is $45.7 million, with a construction completion period of 915 calendar days from the notice to proceed. The RFQ requires a Statement of Qualifications and identifies Massachusetts Drinking Water State Revolving Fund requirements, applicable DCAMM certification, and Build America Buy America requirements. Only firms deemed qualified will be invited to bid in the second phase.
