Description
The Somerville Public School District is soliciting bids for elevator repair and refurbishment services at Somerville High School. The work will be performed under a single overall contract. Bidders must be classified as a C009 Prime with C099 and C047 Subcontractor, or a C099 Prime Contractor with a C047 Subcontractor. Bid documents are available electronically through the FVHD Contractor Portal or as hard copies for a fee. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., at the Somerville Public School District Administration Office. All requests for information must be submitted in writing to the architect. Sealed bids are due by Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., and must be submitted in duplicate to the Somerville Public School District Administration office. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check for 10% of the bid amount (not to exceed $20,000) and a Certificate of Consent of Surety. Bidders and their prime subcontractors must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) and registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Compliance with New Jersey State Prevailing Wage Act and other relevant statutes is required. A Business Registration Certificate is required prior to contract award.
