Description
Clemson University's Department of Plant Industry is seeking a qualified contractor to design, fabricate, and install a custom educational exhibit inside an existing Clemson-owned modified 7-by-14-foot enclosed trailer. The mobile exhibit will educate the public about invasive insects, plants, pathogens, and other invasive organisms affecting South Carolina through interpretive graphics, durable exhibit structures, multimedia, interactive educational components, display space for a Clemson-provided television, storage, lighting, and museum-quality finishes. The completed trailer will travel to schools, community events, agricultural festivals, conferences, trade shows, and other outreach venues. The contractor must provide project management, design development, at least two preliminary concepts, renderings, graphic design, final construction documents, fabrication, material procurement, transportation, installation, final walkthrough, digital graphic files, drawings if produced, operations and maintenance recommendations, and warranty documentation. The exhibit must be durable for frequent transportation and public interaction, support future content and graphic updates, and include a minimum one-year warranty. Offerors must submit a cover letter, company qualifications, project team information, comparable projects completed within the past 10 years, a digital portfolio, project-management and design/fabrication approach, installation plan, proposed schedule, warranty information, and a fixed-price cost proposal. The project is expressly a one-time design and installation effort, and the exhibit must be operational no later than May 15, 2027.
