Description
The City seeks scheduled and preventive plumbing maintenance, on-call troubleshooting and repairs, replacement-in-kind, and authorized as-needed replacement work at City facilities and rights-of-way. The scope covers plumbing systems and components such as water and drainage lines, fixtures, valves, water heaters, pumps, backflow devices, interceptors, irrigation plumbing, and leak detection and repair. Work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, tools, permits, and related incidentals; emergency response and routine service requirements are specified in the contract documents. The contractor must also provide weekly maintenance for decorative fountains, including water testing and treatment, cleaning, equipment inspections, digital service records, and quarterly filter cleaning. Fountain restoration and certain pump and lighting replacements are separately priced. The successful bidder must hold a California C-36 plumbing license and comply with applicable prevailing-wage, Department of Industrial Relations registration, and fleet-compliance requirements. The solicitation requires bid security of at least 10% of the evaluated base bid; performance and payment bonds are required after award.
