Description
The City of Cambridge is seeking proposals from property owners to lease approximately 22,000 square feet of flex space for the Cambridge Police Department Academy and Training Unit. The requested facility should include approximately 12,000 square feet of multi-use exercise space, 3,500 square feet of classroom space, 1,600 square feet of locker room space with specified showers, toilets, and accessibility features, and approximately 4,000 square feet for an indoor shooting range to be installed and outfitted by the Police Department. The facility should provide 24/7 controlled access, exclusive use by Police Department staff, high-speed fiber-optic service, and preferably at least 40 dedicated off-street parking spaces. The property owner would be responsible for facility maintenance and repairs, janitorial services, utilities, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, building envelope, snow and ice removal, security, and groundskeeping. Proposers must provide a facility description and supporting documentation, proof of authority to lease the property, beneficial-interest disclosure, references, pricing, and signed compliance materials. The proposed lease must include a one-year term with up to three one-year renewal options; an alternate five-year term with a five-year renewal option may also be submitted.
