Description
The Iowa Department of Transportation seeks a contractor to supply all materials, labor, and equipment to install an approximately 240-foot, 12-inch steel-coated underground drainage pipe beneath U.S. 30 using boring, jacking, or another approved method. The work includes connecting the new pipe to existing drainage connections on both sides of the right-of-way, installing inspection tubes or intakes, and stabilizing and restoring disturbed areas. Traffic control must be provided as needed; no lane closures are expected. The pipe must meet the specified steel, coating, wall-thickness, and Buy America requirements. The contractor is responsible for proposing project duration and dates, providing material lead times where applicable, and complying with Iowa DOT standards and inspection coordination requirements. A performance and payment bond is required from the successful bidder if the contract amount is $25,000 or more.
