Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs requires construction services for Project 658-19-103, Renovate Surgical Suite Phase II, at the Salem VA Medical Center. The work will be performed in Building 143 and includes general construction, structural, architectural, fire suppression, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire alarm systems trades. The project will expand and renovate the existing surgical suite in four sequential phases. The scope includes creating three new operating rooms, renovating existing operating rooms, modifying the nursing station and pre-operative area, and renovating the post-operative recovery and surgical area. The stated construction magnitude is between $20 million and $50 million, and the period of performance is 840 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated solicitation is unrestricted, with one award planned.
