Description
The City of Duarte is soliciting bids for carpet replacement at its Community Center. The work includes removing and disposing of approximately 3,600 square feet of existing carpet; conducting a moisture test on the concrete; cleaning and preparing the surface; furnishing and installing approximately 3,600 square feet of Mohawk carpet tile in the auditorium, hallway, A/V room, conference room, and one office; installing approximately 350 linear feet of 4-inch rubber cove base; and moving furniture. The contractor must include all labor, materials, equipment, disposal, and incidental costs. The project is subject to California public-works requirements, including contractor licensing, prevailing-wage and Department of Industrial Relations compliance, and a mandatory onsite pre-bid meeting. Construction must be completed within 21 working days after the Notice to Proceed, with work scheduled between December 9 and January 11. A one-year workmanship warranty is required. The apparent low bidder must provide performance and labor-and-material bonds after award, while the bid requires a 10% bid guarantee.
