Description
The contractor will provide wash-and-fold laundry services for military equipment, clothing, towels, and bed linens, including collection, transport, cleaning, and return delivery. The workload is estimated at up to forty 20-pound bags per day. Items must be clean and free of chemical residue, fully dried, folded, and returned within 72 hours of pickup. Items must be inspected and inventoried at pickup and delivery, with damaged items identified and missing items returned or charged as specified in the performance work statement. Pickup and delivery are required Monday through Friday between 5:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at government-directed locations across the National Capital Region; laundry processing takes place at the contractor’s facility. The contract has a 12-month base period and one 12-month option period. This is a presolicitation notice inviting capabilities statements for consideration in a later direct solicitation; responding does not guarantee inclusion in that solicitation.
