The Bureau of Engraving and Printing intends to award a sole-source contract to Koenig & Bauer Banknote Solutions SA for four proprietary make-ready sensors for its Super Simultan Offset printing presses. The requirement includes sensor fabrication, delivery, retrofit installation, setup, training, and commissioning at facilities in Washington, D.C., and Fort Worth, Texas. The sensors support press setup by identifying make-ready sheets and reducing paper waste while maintaining print quality. This is a notice of intent, not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may submit a capabilities statement demonstrating their ability to meet the requirement. The anticipated period of performance is 12 months.
