Description
The South Dakota Department of Education seeks a consultant to provide statewide technical assistance, implementation planning and management, and federal compliance support across a three-year Teacher and School Leader grant initiative. The work includes supporting expansion of the South Dakota Teacher Apprenticeship Pathway in participating high-need schools; coaching and onboarding districts; developing and delivering mentor training; supporting educator recruitment and workforce pathways; and coordinating with educator preparation partners. The consultant must also provide the required in-kind match and submit match documentation. Additional responsibilities include developing implementation monitoring and performance measurement processes, supporting data collection and fidelity reviews, facilitating communities of practice, exploring braided funding strategies, and assisting with sustainability planning, grant governance, federal reporting, and compliance. Proposals must include an executive summary, examples of at least three similar projects, a detailed response to the scope of work, recent audited financial statements, and the required completed forms. The contract is scheduled to run from January 1, 2027, through September 30, 2029, with a possible mutually agreed one-year extension.
