Description

Charles County Government is soliciting sealed electronic bids from qualified contractors for construction services under ITB 27-009, the NPDES Oak Ridge Park East Stream Restoration project. The work includes installing a stormwater detention facility; restoring approximately 1,400 linear feet of an actively eroding unnamed tributary to Gilbert Run using in-stream and bank stabilization structures; and stabilizing approximately 120 linear feet of an eroding outfall channel within Oak Ridge Park. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, surveying, excavation, disposal, plantings, erosion and sediment controls, traffic controls, dewatering, testing, geotechnical inspection, permitting coordination, stormwater pollution prevention plan revisions, and as-built documentation necessary to complete the project. The work must comply with approved construction plans, Charles County standards, Maryland Department of the Environment and United States Army Corps of Engineers permit requirements, NPDES MS4 requirements, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The bid requires a five percent bid bond, three completed comparable projects within the past five years, a 29.95% Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise subcontractor goal, and prime contractor self-performance of at least 50% of the work.
