Description
The Rhode Island Veterans Home, a 208-bed skilled nursing and residential care facility located at 480 Metacom Avenue, Bristol, RI, requires a new standby power generation system to expand its emergency power capabilities. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and incidentals necessary to provide a complete, fully operational system. Work includes furnishing and installing one 1,250 kW standby diesel generator, all required automatic transfer switches, modifying the existing electrical distribution system, installing associated conduit, wiring, feeders, controls, and related electrical equipment, completing all required site work including excavation, concrete pads, utility connections, backfill, grading, and site restoration, and performing system testing, start-up, and commissioning. The contractor must also provide operational and maintenance training for state personnel and furnish all operating manuals, maintenance manuals, warranties, and as-built drawings. The project has a substantial completion deadline of 50 days after the purchase order is issued and final completion within 100 days.
