Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to establish a Qualified Vendors List (QVL) for the repair and/or replacement of glass window units in FAA Airport Traffic Control Towers (ATCTs) cabs and Base Buildings at various locations throughout the United States. This QVL is divided into three geographical service areas: Western, Central, and Eastern. The estimated total value for tasks under this QVL is $10,000,000 over a 5-year period. Services include performing accurate measurements for replacement Insulated Glass Units (IGUs), removing and disposing of existing damaged glass, and providing and installing new IGUs in accordance with project-specific drawings and specifications. The typical glass types include monolithic glass, insulated glass units (IGUs), laminated insulated glass units, and laminated glass units, with some facilities requiring Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) / Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) Reduction Glass. Evaluation for inclusion on the QVL will be based on four factors: Corporate Experience (requiring at least five relevant projects valued over $40,000 each, completed within the last five years, and involving at least 120 SF of glass installation), Past Performance (evaluated using a questionnaire for the five relevant projects), Plan of Execution (covering order management, quality control, safety management including EMR, DART, and TCR rates, and risk management), and Key Personnel (requiring a Project Manager with 10 years of experience and a Project Foreman with 5 years of experience and AGMT certification).
